KOMBUCHA WITH A TWIST Project Idea Day project.
A lot of business ideas come from the kitchen. Someone has a passion for a food style or beverage flavour that they want to share with the world. For a while I did home brewing, so the concept of making an interesting drink was sparked when drinking my sister-in-laws home made kombucha, a tea-based drink. The world wide industry in 2014 was $1 million and has grown in sales to $1.8 billion in 2019. What flavour could I add to kombucha to sell to the public? The market maybe flooded, however a unique flavour could be key to success; was initially thinking berries, turmeric and beetroot.
